Now that the partying is over: What's there to like about January?


I used to look at this month as a long, dark slog with little to recommend it. It felt mandatory to break it up with a weekend away or something else that could bring a bit of change and fun. What is there to like?


A feeling of January dread might seem hard to avoid if the rain, wind or cold is battering you. But let's take that question again, seriously this time. Shake off the dread first. Take a deep breath or two. What is there to like, right here, right now? What is there to appreciate?


The weather, Monday, darkness or 25 days 'til February will be what they are. What you focus on is your choice. What is there to like?
